Behind the Scenes in Episode 2: A Disaster Kit for Maya

Woof, woof! Make your human get you an earthquake kit!

When the Gingerys first agreed to be filmed for Totally Unprepared, we did not know that Maya was also part of their family. Once we met their lovely Golden Labrador however, we decided that pet earthquake kits would be part of this show so Maya would be looked after in the event of an earthquake.

She met us in the driveway when we first showed up, and introduced herself with a wag of her tail. Maya took to the film crew right away. She was keen to be part of every scene and followed crew members all over the house. Sue, in particular became a big fan of Maya. I think Sue might have taken her home if the Gingerys were willing to part with her.
Maya asked us to let you know that if you have an animal friend who lives with you, make sure they have an earthquake kit too. A pet earthquake kit is easy to make, or you can buy one premade. She wants every dog and cat to be safe and well cared for in the event of an earthquake. Woof!
