Make an earthquake kit for your pet (instructions here). Show us your dog’s earthquake kit (and your dog) and you could win a kick-ass $250 value earthquake kit for your family. All you have to do is submit a video of your dog and his/her earthquake kit on our Facebook page and be one of the top 5 vote getters.
Prize: After voting is finished, the top five vote-getters will receive the following:

LOL, slight problem with “so you can be the coolest on your block and tweet about the earthquake for days” … yeah, tried that with the quakes we’ve had in Christchurch NZ over the past 500 days and it doesn’t work – people jam the network and towers go offline (even with backup power). Nice idea though!
True indeed Nathanael, but a smart phone will let people know where you are even if you can’t send tweets. Keeping it live makes one find-able, especially if you have location services enabled. The charger itself runs a radio & flashlight as well, both of which are invaluable after an earthquake (or a bunch, as you have had unfortunately had to endure in Christchurch).
